Atlanta, Georgia – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a growing, multi-billion dollar manufacturing client. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an Electrical Engineer – Luminaires in Decatur.
What you will do: The Electrical Engineer – Luminaires develops analog and digital hardware designs of LED light engines, LED power supply circuits (drivers), sensors, and control/communication interfaces, while also documenting schematics using Altium Designer CAD. The role validates working prototypes, conducts electronic circuit simulation and analysis, and shows knowledge of communication and networking protocols. The position creates product hardware design documentation (architecture, state diagram, module specifications, schematics, BOM), collaborates with test equipment and manufacturing engineers to define and implement manufacturing test procedures and test equipment, and creates robust documentation to meet functional, design, and test requirements.
What you will need: Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience in hardware design. Practical experience with communication and networking protocols (I2C, RS-232, RS-485, RJ-45, etc.). Knowledge of 8-bit microcontroller systems. General illumination LED design. Experience writing manufacturing test specifications. Experience developing manufacturing test equipment. Knowledge of advanced wireless communication protocols (802.11, IR, ZigBee, Bluetooth). Experience working with consumercommercial electronics (home automation, luminaires, remote controls, battery backups, power supplies, sensors, PC based peripherals). Knowledge of version control software and other PLM systems.
