Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a leading supplier of electronic components to a myriad of industries. We have been tasked to identify a Electrical Engineer for a newly created role.
What you will do: The Electrical Engineer supports the development of new product by designing, developing, testing, and performing evaluations of automotive electronic products, creates custom electrical/electronic designs for automotive applications, including analog electronics (switching power supplies, DC to DC converters, LED drivers, FETS, etc), and creates/completes block diagrams, schematics, PCB layout, component selection, worst case ac and dc circuit analysis, testing, and design verification. The position uses risk reduction tools to perform simulations, uses knowledge of material costs and costing processes to determine the impact on designs, and designs for maximum cost effectiveness while meeting all customer performance requirements. The role uses of Electronic Circuit Simulation tools, to validate that product design complies with requirements and Final Customer specifications, supports mechanical engineering, production, and quality in the development and implementation of work instructions, bill of materials for new and ongoing products, and interfaces with customers, other engineering groups and suppliers. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer leads electrical design review meetings and supports all APQP activities, including d/pFMEAs.
What you will need: B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering. Electrical engineering experience in the areas of analog/digital circuit design, including powers supply’s, power applications, PCB design. Design experience of electronic assemblies. Experience with digital oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, etc. Use of electronic simulation tools (Ansys Designer or ADS). Use of PCB lay-out tools such as PCad, or Allegro. Experience developing products for automotive infotainment products. Experience with Pcad/Allegro design tool. Working knowledge of EMC/EMI tests and compliance. Knowledge and experience of automotive processes including APQP, FMEA, DVP&R, PPAP, etc. Experience with embedded electronics systems is beneficial.
