Novi, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a world leading supplier of innovative parts and systems to the global automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Systems Engineer.
What you will do: The Systems Engineer coordinates the product engineering team and their interfaces. The position develops list of customer feedback items and assumptions to the quote team, provides project plan timing and resource usage to quote and project teams, and delivers requirements cascaded from customer and internally generated documents and deliver to internal and external suppliers, and internal test and validation engineering functions. The role works with customer at program initiation to develop system architecture and efficient design, leads cross functional requirements reviews, and develops with the support of the customer the system level DFMEA for the product. Additionally, the Systems Engineer coordinates with manufacturing and software teams to develop interface requirements, reports internal incident investigations, and travels domestically and internationally to company plants.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering. Demonstrated management and active development of complex electrical system requirements. Experience developing and launching brushless DC motor applications and controls preferred. Experience with automotive electrical components. Working knowledge of IS026262, hazard, SAE J2464, IEC, NEC, ISO 20G53, and two-level fault strategies. Familiarity with automotive OE program timing processes, procedures, and reporting methods. Fluent in PC applications for requirement management, change management, and product lifecycle traceability.
