EHS Manager

Crawfordsville, Indiana- Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a growing, multi-billion dollar manufacturing client with headquarters in Atlanta. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager.

What you will do: The Environmental, Health, and Safety manager is responsible for all aspects of the Safety, Environmental, Health, and Security compliance for the facility, and for monitoring, training, auditing, implementing and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and all applicable Federal, State and Local regulations. The position leads sustainability efforts that impact all operations at assigned facility, generates all federal, state and local environmental reports monthly, quarterly and annually, and determines the disposition of all waste generated in the facility. The role conducts hazardous waste log, hazardous waste classification log, weekly environmental audit inspections, weekly fire protection and inspection log, and eye wash and spill kit log, maintains all safety and environmental training records for each hourly employee and management in the facility, and trains all authorized personnel in OSHA and environmental mandatory training. Additionally, the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager conducts accident investigations including Root Cause Analysis of injuries, illnesses and near misses, conducts daily safety and environmental audits throughout the facility, and conducts orientation training with all new hires, contractors, vendors and visitors.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Mid-range experience in environmental, health, and safety with a current management role. Proven knowledge and understanding of OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements.  Proven track record for successful federal, state and local regulatory audits. Knowledge of specialty processes for water, air, operations, and OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and ANSI requirements.
