Lake Orion, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international aerospace manufacturing company. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for an EH&S Coordinator.
What you will do: The Estimator estimates aerospace tooling labor and material costs of manufacturing and engineering based on request data submitted by prospective customers. The role analyzes specifications including tool models, sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing models and historical data, while also preparing estimates using company approved applications and/or Excel workbooks and data sheets. The position prepares cost reports and presents findings to management, contract personnel, proposal coordinators, customer representatives, price auditors, vendors, and subcontractors, coordinates with the Associate Estimator and/or procurement for requests for quotations from outside suppliers for parts, materials, hardware and processes, and inputs hours and notes into Quote Central. Additionally, the Estimator prepares data for reports, presentations, status updates, and continuous improvement initiatives and maintains historical cost data.
What you will need: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Experience in estimating, engineering, building of aerospace tooling. Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes, along with raw materials and quality policies. Ability to interpret RFQ requirements from customer models, drawings, and specifications. Knowledge of cost estimating methods, from detailed bids through parametric modeling used in large-scale quotations.
