ECU Functional Verification Supervisor

Saginaw, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international tier-one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company. they have opened a position for an ECU Functional Verification Supervisor.

What you will do: The ECU Functional Verification Supervisor manages resources and supervises work related to ECU Application Testing, heavily based around vehicle serial communications and interactions with application software. The role leads the definition of test bench hardware and software as well as develop processes and work procedures to support testing activities both in the USA and globally, while also maintaining project timelines, providing regular status reports to program management teams, and coordinating staffing to ensure timely completion. The position develops/maintains budget for equipment, capital, headcount, expenses, etc, develops/manages a common process for providing clear, electronic traceability between requirements and test cases, and coordinates work with external or on site suppliers (including scheduling, work load leveling, task prioritization, etc.). Additionally, the ECU Functional Verification Supervisor develops an overall team goal of high quality and on time results, develops/implements staffing plans including hiring of new employees, and provides technical support to test teams to help create test cases.

What you will need: BSEE or BSCE. Current experience in ECUs. Experience in embedded systems testing. Leadership or supervision experience with technical projects or teams. Technical experience with automotive serial communications (CAN, LIN, FlexRay). Experience with various testing methodologies. Understanding of software coding using C language. Experience with formal requirements management tools (i.e., DOORS). Familiarity with standardized software development process models (i.e., ASPICE). Experience managing external suppliers. Familiarity with a variety of cross compilers and cross assemblers. Experience with basic lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, debuggers, etc). Experience with 8-bit, 16-bit or 32-bit microcontrollers and common peripherals. Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink.
