Northville, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a growing automotive Tier-1. Due to their recent growth, they have a newly created position for a Drivetrain Evaluation Engineering Manager.
What you will do: The Drivetrain Engineering Manager-Testing is responsible for vehicle drivetrain calibration screening, assessment, and noise vibration and harshness testing. The position removes, installs, and tears down heavy duty transmissions, operates machining and welding equipment to build fixtures, testing equipment, and makes vehicle modifications with and without blueprints and drawings.The role is also responsible for planning and managing large, multi-member, evaluation trips and conducts stress analysis.
What you will need: BSME or BSEE. Current experience in tier one management. Evaluation experience with drive train related dynamometers and facilities. Knowledge and experience with OEM test methods such as GM, Ford, Chrysler or Toyota. Experience with engines and engine components such as water pumps, pulleys, valve covers and other. Experience with vehicle chassis, suspension, steering and ride handling. Experience with NVH, FFT analysis tools such as Noisebook/Squadriga, Dewetron, Head Acoustics. Strain Gauge, Stress Analysis, FEA related experience. Experience in vehicle level instrumentation and testing, especially for commercial automatic transmissions.
