Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com   is working with a global Tier 1 automotive supplier responsible for designing and manufacturing systems for gasoline and diesel engines for customers around the world. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Director of Sales.

What you will do: The Director of Sales is responsible for generating prospects and profitable sales, getting profitable businesses awarded from automotive and off-road clients, and generating healthy revenue growth for the company as well as diversifying customer and product portfolio. The role grows the company’s book of business by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business transactions that improve revenue and profitability growth, locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential customers and partners, and closes new business deals by coordinating fulfillment of customer requirements. The position negotiates contracts, and screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, growth potential, and profitability, and recommends capacity improvements in technical centers and manufacturing sites to improve probability of success with customers.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Advanced experience in business development automotive-related experience at executive level. Experience in a management role. Experience in sales, program management, manufacturing, purchasing, finance, and general management is strongly preferred. International experience is preferred. Experience with exhuast systems. Ability to manage people (6). Understanding of the Tier-1 automotive environment. Experience with powertrain, exhaust and emissions products/customers is preferred. Existing relationships at automotive, heavy duty, and off road OEMs or tier I’s (including engine and vehicle OEMs). Open to Mexican national applicants.
