Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with an industry leading packaging equipment client that has been in business for over 100 years. Their equipment is manufactured in several locations thought the world and installed in facilities in over 50 countries. Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for a Director of Sales for their Packaging Equipment division.
What you will do: This position will be responsible for sales activities throughout the world with a focus on North America including market identification, strategic planning, pricing, and forecasting in order to meet the market needs and divisional gross profit targets. This role will also develop plans, programs and sales initiatives for after-sale service/ repair parts through both distributors and direct sales. This role will be both strategic and a functional manager with a group of direct reports. This role is extremely customer facing with the task of initiate development of new products and services and developing marketing strategies to achieve global growth for long-term customer contracts. This role will have budgetary responsibilities metric-ing pricing/gross profit and managing expense budget.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree. Current experience in functional sales management role selling industrial capital goods multinationally. Knowledge of equipment and application engineering of products (equipment and
materials), acid and low-acid, pasteurized, aseptic, long life processing is highly desired. Experience with consultative based sales, selling both machinery and machinery support services.
