Hempstead, New York – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a growing manufacturing client and due to this growth, they have opened a position for a Global Head of Sourcing.
What you will do: The Global Head of Sourcing has regional and global responsibility, building up an effective procurement organization that efficiently realizes a maximum of synergies and savings both on business line and regional level. The role drives development, standardization and implementation of efficient processes, drives ongoing development, utilization and global harmonization of state-of- the-art methods and tools to realize additional savings, and provides constant consultation and reporting of functional targets. The position develops a comprehensive communication strategy to foster organizational-wide awareness, leads/develops a global team of category and product sourcing managers, and combines regional procurement resources to form a powerful network. Additionally, the Global Head of Sourcing collaborates with global executives, represents the business line on segment level, and maintains responsibility for compliance with group policies.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in a commercial or technical field. Experience in the industrial or manufacturing industry. Experience as a sourcing manager within manufacturing. Good understanding of technology in a multicultural environment. Excellent presentation, negotiating and persuasion skills. Strong project management expertise. Good understanding of state-of-the-art ERP system, preferably SAP. Good working knowledge of German. Ability to travel internationally up to 70%.
