Director of Human Resources

Asheville, North Carolina – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs     is working with an industry leading packaging client that has been in business for over 100 years.  Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for Director of Human Resources.

What you will do: The Human Resources Director provides direction for the successful execution of the organization mission, vision and strategic imperatives through the management and application of all human resource strategies, plans, policies, processes, systems and activities throughout the organization. The role directs all of the human resources functions including: the application of policy and employment procedures, employee relations, organized labor relations, performance review, talent management, succession planning, workforce effectiveness, organizational development, compensation and benefits, safety, training and development, legal compliance and employee records. The position drives the integration of cultural change necessary to achieve long term organizational objectives, serves as a member of the executive leadership team, and functions as the expert on people and organizational issues, serving as a trusted advisor and business partner to the management team, department leaders, and others. Additionally, the Human Resources Director promotes innovative performance management models and protects the interest of the company and employees.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree. SPHR/PHR certification. MBA is a plus. Advanced human resources management experience. Experience managing 1000+ personnel. Experience working as a “business partner” developing new systems. Experience in a manufacturing environment.
