Director of Advanced Manufacturing & Technology

Lancaster, Pennsylvania – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a tier-one, automotive supplier looking to fill their newly opened Director of Advanced Manufacturing and Technology role.

What you will do: The Director of Advanced Manufacturing and Technology is responsible for developing a manufacturing infrastructure to integrate or deploy new manufacturing processes, technology, and equipment. The role develops/empowers direct reports to make decisions and take action, provides technical expertise/support for the development and design of processes, equipment, and facilities, and leads approved technical initiatives with external suppliers and collaborative partners by managing cross-functional projects. The position leads the troubleshooting of complex processing, equipment, and product problems, provides project coordination leadership for multi-disciplinary teams, and is responsible for process validation lifecycle, technology transfers and process capability procedures. Additionally, the Director of Advanced Manufacturing and Technology works directly with R&D and manufacturing organizations to manage the transfer of new products into production, while also being responsible for a culture of continuous improvement.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Operations. Advanced manufacturing and engineering management experience. Experience working with international teams. Strong continuous improvement orientation with experience with Six Sigma and/or LEAN.
