Tuscaloosa, Alabama – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a quality assurance company that partners with OEM and Tier-One companies. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Diagnostic Test Systems Engineer, west of Tuscaloosa.
What you will do: The Diagnostic Test Systems Engineer is responsible for the creation, maintenance, validity and efficiency of the vehicle diagnostic testing software. The role provides content review, testing and limited revision of software, assists in the creation of new test programs from the bottom up during major model changes, and uses continuous improvement to ensure existing test programs are optimized for maximum efficiency. The position performs installation of new testing software packages to testing equipment, participates in the control unit/test sequence error analysis, and develops countermeasures. Additionally, the Diagnostic Test Systems Engineer investigates process and product problems, implements and verifies countermeasure effectiveness, and participates/leads group problem-solving activities.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or other related Engineering fields. Understanding of version control software (SVN and CVS used). General knowledge of software development, implementation, operation/maintenance, design and analysis. General knowledge of database structures and SQL (Oracle). Working knowledge of operation systems (Windows XP, Windows 7). Experience writing programs in one or more of the following (C++, C#, HTML, Visual Basic, Perl). Experience with FTP, Controller Area Network CAN. German language skills a plus.
