DevOps Engineer – Manufacturing

Cordele, Georgia – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a growing, multi-billion dollar manufacturing client. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a DevOps Engineer.

What you will do: The DevOps Engineer is responsible for directing the architecture, configuration, integration, monitoring and support of on-premise and/or cloud based hosting of custom developed applications and associated resources. The role supports an always-available cloud-based platform, supports application deployments, builds new systems and upgrades/patches existing ones, while also developing automation to quickly and rapidly deploy websites, web jobs, etc. The position manages development and testing environments, assists developers in debugging application issues using appropriate tools, and participates in the building of tools and processes to support the infrastructure. Additionally, the DevOps Engineer contributes to the creation of system support documents, leverages scripting to build required automation and tools, and operates the platform within security and privacy guidelines.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems. Current DevOps experience. Current experience working within a manufacturing environment. Azure account administration experience. Website tuning and troubleshooting experience. Networking and application load balancing concepts and technologies experience. PowerShell (or similar) scripting/development experience. Understanding of protocols/technologies like HTTP, SSL, LDAP, ASP.NET, SQL, HTML, XML, JSON. Exposure to system log analytic/monitoring tools like Splunk, New Relic, Application Insights, System Center. .NET development experience. Experience with cloud based platforms, like Microsoft Azure, in addition to exposure to on-premise website and application infrastructure.
