Development Manager

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with an international manufacturing company. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Product Development Manager.

What you will do: The Development Manager manages activities for Auburn Hills Innovation Center, supports activities associated with design and development for various powder metallurgy (PM) and forged powder metal (FPM) products, and interacts with customers, global sales, engineering groups and manufacturing facilities to provide product development support. The role manages the daily activities of the team on goals and objectives, provides technical support to global sales and customers with respect to product development, and participates in product development. The position reports on specific product development projects, supplies technical knowledge and support to manufacturing facilities as needed, and provide updates to groups relative to technical activities. Additionally, the Development Manager assists multiple plant and engineering teams to achieve goals and objectives and generates technical reports as required on projects and analytical work.

What you will need: BS in Mechanical or Materials Engineering. Supervisory/managerial experience in the automotive industry. Current experience in product development. Powder Metallurgy experience desired. Practical experience with NDT techniques desired  .
