Development Engineer

Novi, Michigan – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com    is working with an automotive manufacturing company with a global footprint. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Development Engineer.

What you will do: The Development Engineer collects information from fields, customers and users, plans and designs auto-parts, improves design for high quality parts and products, evaluates prototypes and redesigns for them for improvement. The role develops, evaluates, and improves products design methods, analyzes/plans work force utilization, designs layout of products for maximum efficiency, and confers with other design staff (both inside and outside Mitsuba) concerning product design. The position confers with customers, vendors and suppliers to determine product specifications, evaluates the prototypes according to product specification and quality standards, and implements equipment operating programs, while also conferring with manufacturing, engineering, quality, production planning, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production process. Additionally, the Development Engineer participates in meetings, seminars, workshops, and training sessions to stay apprised of new developments in field.

What you will need: BSME or BSEE. Experience with CAD software. Current experience in development engineering within automotive manufacturing. Experience with prototypes.
