Designer - Manufacturing

Greensboro, North Carolina  – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a national provider of electrical infrastructure and power EPC. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Designer.

What you will do: The Designer is responsible for effectively utilizing CAD technology to develop and complete designed parts. The role initiates and evaluates the design of new products and the improvement of existing products, prepares mathematical computations and dimensional/tolerance studies in accordance with engineering/customer requirements, and revises existing part data per engineering direction. The position calculates stack-up of detail components, assists engineering by generating temporary studies/concept sketches, and observes group and customer data standards for file construction and storage. Additionally, the Designer maintains affiliations with and represents the company in appropriate professional, technical and educational groups and designs consideration for cost saving initiatives.

What you will need: Current experience in CAD design. Knowledge of solid modeling. Mid-range experience in design engineering. Commercial architectural design experience with advanced knowledge of fabrication techniques, and materials used in the production of architectural elements and commercial sign related products.  Experience in producing actual field-ready drawings.
