Design Review Engineer

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a leading manufacturer of automotive, electronic systems and due to recent growth, they have opened a position for a Technical Design Review Engineer.

What you will do: The Technical Design Review Engineer has ECU software management responsibility for the specific commodity. The role manages ECU supplier software development and delivery, evaluates ECU supplier’s software capability and quality, and conducts software technical design reviews (TDRs) for various ECUs throughout the software development cycle. The position assists distributed feature owners in developing Interface Specification, conducts Feature Integration Design Review, stays involved in supplier evaluation and selection process as related to SW capability assessment, and leads software discussion in ECU cross-functional meetings. Additionally, the Technical Design Review Engineer evaluates the quality of supplier software development process, reviews supplier’s SW development plan, SW architecture documentation, traceability between software work products (FS to SRS to DVP), and supplier’s test plan/test results, reviews supplier’s software issue list, and assists feature owners in developing interface specification and requirements.

What you will need: Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Experience in software engineering and embedded software design/applications. Experience in programming languages. Understanding of software standards and procedures specifically, embedded SW engineering processes & procedures (requirements, design, code, test). Knowledge of software architecture development and software development tools (Version control, calibration, etc.).
