Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery movementsearch.com is working with a global tier one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, the company has a newly created position for a Product Engineer – Design Electronics.
What you will do: The Product Engineer – Design Electronics leads hardware design engineer responsible for design, validation and implementation of an airbag system for Japanese OEM. The position leads technical reviews, trouble shooting, and system related communication with customer, works closely with global team to ensure product development and launch per schedule, and performs worst case analysis and DFMEA testing. The role supports global design teams and manufacturing teams with engineering questions to ensure safe launch of product and leads cross functional team of ME, EE, SW, Systems, ECAD, MCAD and Design Validation team members to meet automotive customer milestones and requirements.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Current experience in product engineering. Experience with designing electronics. Broad understanding of Japanese OEM development milestones, advanced quality planning, and PPAP requirements. Knowledge of vehicle electrical architecture. Knowledge of Doors database preferred. Strong knowledge of ECU design relating to electronics and software.
