Novi, Michigan – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with an automotive manufacturing company with a global footprint. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Design Engineer.
What you will do: The Design Engineer collects field information from customers and users for development or improvement of products or designs, while also planning and designing auto-parts, negotiating, coordinating and improving application design for high quality, and evaluating low cost products prototypes and redesigns for improvement. In addition, this post confers with customers, manufacturing departments, vendors, and suppliers to determine product specifications and testing requirements and evaluates and develops the prototypes according to product specification. Further responsibilities of this position include achieving mass production status for products together with team members including headquarters members in Japan and participating in meetings, seminars, workshops, and training sessions to stay apprised of new developments in field.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with one to two years of design engineering experience with electrical or small mechanical automotive component parts. AutoCAD and Catia experience.
