Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a leading supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Resident Engineer.
What you will do: The Resident Engineer tracks and organizes all open engineering tasks, tracks all customer milestones and creates/coordinates all tasks to meet all requirements, and coordinates all development and current production CAD tasks. The role ensures collaboration between design and application team members for development designs and current production design changes, facilitates all application engineering activities with the customer and application team, and creates GECOS (Global Engineering Coordination Support) for all module engineering changes, calibration creation, and any other appropriate engineering changes. Additionally, the position supports all prototype suppliers with technical direction for all builds for all customer vehicle events and customer and Tier 1 suppliers with technical direction and improvements during ramp up and launch of system up to start of regular production
What you will need: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with current experience in Engineering. Experience in manufacturing. Knowledge of CAD and Tier-1. Current experience with GM. Knowledge of doors.
