Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an automotive OEM. Due to recent growth within the company, they have recently opened a position for a Design Engineer – Driveline.
What you will do: The Design Engineer – Driveline develops new trucks, completes component level design and development, and designs current model modifications. The role works as part of a team of approximately 2-3 team members as well as outsourced (contract) engineering resources at various levels and experience. The position ensures high-quality engineering deliverables for a major model program, starting at program planning stage, thru start of production (SOP). Additionally, the Design Engineer – Driveline conducts regular design reviews with Driveline Engineering Design Lead, uses engineering tools and processes such as DRBFM and detailed design reviews, etc., and assures project deliverables are on time and maintain high quality.
What you will need: BSME. Experience in mechanical engineering in the automotive industry. Experience using CAD (CATIA V5). Commercial truck driveline systems design or equivalent experience. Good familiarity with commercial truck technology and terminology.
