Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a 10,000 employee tier one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Senior Design Engineer – Powertrain.
What you will do: The Senior Design Engineer completes the design of engine sub-systems, both schemes and layouts, with consideration for manufacturing and assembly requirements. The role designs engine components and major sub-systems, and assists in developing the test programs used to validate them, while also maintaining up to date knowledge of the latest CAD/CAE tools. The position resolves problems, reports/communicates project status and changes/developments to the management and clients, and provides support to management in new project feasibility, business case studies, and proposal preparation.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in design engineering. Exceptional knowledge of power-train engineering principles and technology, including the operation of CAD tools. Solid modeling expertise in multiple CAD programs. Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes such that their design solutions can be put into production.
