Design Engineer

Marlette, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com    is working with a global manufacturer of engineered automotive and industrial products and due to it’s recent growth, they are looking to fill the position of Design Engineer.

What you will do: The Design Engineer designs and develops drawings for manufacturing equipment and processes, and maintains not only plant layouts, drawing binders, and customer supplied documents, but also CAD software. This position also maintains MRP item master, BOMs, work centers, work center routings and material specifications in MRP, while also creating company and customer product drawings. The Design Engineer coordinates special projects for the engineering manager and design review teams, additionally being the gatekeeper of feedback processes.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Solid internship/co-op experience up to three years (not much more due to level of compensation). 2 years AutoCAD 2D Design experience with current experience in BoMs and manufacturing routings. Current experience in mechanical design and Solidworks.
