Livonia, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a growing IT systems company. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Database Engineer.
What you will do: The Database Engineer oversees physical database design and implements performance tuning. The role leads code and design reviews, implements disaster recovery for database servers, and creates standards and best practices for database design and development. The position ensures quality data creation, presentation and flow across systems, researches/evaluates third-party tools to increase efficiency, and acts as a mentor for other team members. Additionally, the Database Engineer writes complex stored procedures, enhances database applications, and meets with team leaders to ensure data collection satisfaction and presentation.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in computer science. Experience in developing MS-SQL database applications. Knowledge of database design, administration and architecture in a Microsoft SQL Server environment. Knowledge of Transact SQL. Knowledge of computer hardware, networks and storage devices, including SANS.
