Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have recently opened a position for a Cost Accountant Specialist.
What you will do: The Cost Accountant Specialist maintains standard parts costing database by tracking BOMs and price fluctuations, analyzes root cause of price changes, and assists other accounting staff as needed. The role analyzes variances of business plan projections and actual results, validates cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close, and attends cross-departmental meetings as related to truck costing and forecasting. The position maintains business plan truck costing pages, analyzes variances between periods, reconciles and analyze sgeneral ledger accounts, and works on special projects as needed.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. General ledger, journal entry and month-end accounting experience. Solid analysis experience.
