Middletown, Ohio – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a leading Tier-one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Cost Accountant, north of Cincinnati.
What you will do: The Cost Accountant applies principles of cost accounting to conduct studies that provide detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems. The role plans studies and collects data to determine costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor, while also analyzing data and changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided. The position records cost information for use in controlling expenditures, analyzes audits of costs and prepares reports for management. Additionally, the Cost Accountant compiles cost information to be used in operating budget preparation, makes estimates of new and proposed product or service costs, and recommends cost efficiencies in new product layouts.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Current experience in cost accounting within manufacturing. Experience with a manufacturing ERP system.
