Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a national supplier of automotive tier one manufactured goods. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Corporate APQP Manager .
What you will do: The Corporate APQP Manager – Ford Programs is responsible for fulfilling the role of quality expert, ensuring the quality of the parts produced meet all customer expectations. The role collaborates with Ford quality and engineering personnel, provides engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques, and resolves quality issues of capability, tolerance, and materials related issues. The position develops and submits PPAP documents for new product launches to meet customer requirements, participates in the advanced product quality planning activities to determine appropriate use of existing and new measurement systems, coordinates pre-launch production trial run process monitoring, and participates in the development of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA). Additionally, the Corporate APQP Manager maintains control plans and PFMEA’s throughout the life of the part, facilitates/promotes use of appropriate problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action, coordinates with other disciplines to resolve customer complaints and concerns, and lead project portfolio management improvement plan for strategic customers.
What you will need: Bachelor degree in Engineering, preferably Manufacturing or Mechanical. Experience managing a certified quality management system (e.g. TS 16949, ISO). Mechanical aptitude. Experience in the automotive industry. Work experience in an organization that supplied large OEM’s. Customer quality assurance experience. Previous audit experience. Technical knowledge of stamping processes. Previous experience as a Lead Internal Auditor in a plus. Project management experience. Certified Quality Engineer is a plus. Background in GD&T.
