Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a national supplier of tier-one automotive components. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Controls Engineer.
What you will do: The Controls Engineer provides 24-hour production equipment master troubleshooting support, supports model year changes and warranty process changes, and aids design. The role implements process changes to improve cost, safety, quality, and speed and data integrity, is responsible for the programming and troubleshooting of computerized equipment, PCs, and programmable controls, and provides maintenance/modification of automated and computerized machinery and related data collection systems. The position provides technical support for special projects as needed, programs and troubleshoots controls, and maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in controls engineering. Strong understanding of products and production processes and knowledge of quality control standards and systems. Experience in network systems and terminal server and experience in the setup and maintenance of data collection processes. Prior experience with the following software: Rockwell Software SQL software, Microsoft SQL Database, Visual Basic, Indramat Electric Motor Drives, G&L Motion Controllers, Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs, Allen-Bradley Panelview32, and Labview.
