Fort Wayne, Indiana – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Controls Automation Engineer in eastern Fort Wayne.
What you will do: The Controls Automation Engineer maintains manufacturing and systems operating software and hardware, incorporates and documents updates and modifications to all software, and monitors the performance of all control and administrative software systems for production equipment. The role administrates the control of access to production equipment controls and software, establishes/administrates the proper and timely backup of production equipment controls programs, and initiates changes to production equipment software to meet provided objectives. The position reviews systems capabilities, provides technical support for upgrades and improvements to manufacturing and administrative systems and hardware, and trains/assists users of all controls related software. Additionally, the Controls Automation Engineer evaluates, reports, and recommends improvements and changes to controls and computer systems, assists in the specification of hardware and software for new equipment purchases, and supports production as required.
What you will need: Technical degree. Experience with robotics (ABB), PLCs (Siemens/Allen Bradley), drives, communication protocols, ladder logic, and welding.
