Controls Engineer

Grand Rapids, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with a world leader in the automotive OEM space. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Controls Engineer.

What you will do: The Controls Engineer evaluates and improves machine safety conditions for plant personnel. The role initiates/implements repairs and improvements on line coverage, investigates production and quality issues using problem solving and root cause analysis techniques, and researches, tests, and purchases parts and new equipment along with monitoring existing stock. The position plans and designs new projects regarding both in-house projects and new line startups, enforces/follows safety procedures, being attentive to unsafe behaviors or conditions, and takes necessary corrective actions. 

What you will need: Current experience in controls engineering. Current responsibility for employees and budget. Experience maintaining complex projects.
