Somerset, Kentucky – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a leading manufacturer of tier-two automotive components. Due to recent growth, they have opened a position for a Controls Engineer, west of Somerset.
What you will do: The Controls Engineer is responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software, designs control systems for mechanical and hydraulic manufacturing equipment, and ensures installation and commissioning meet design standards. The roles designs, implements, maintains, and improves electrical instruments, assists in identifying the technologies to be used for engineering projects, and oversees procurement and integration of Industrial Equipment and Automation Controls. The position is responsible for the programming, debugging, and troubleshooting of Rockwell and Siemens PLCs, HMI, and robotics. Additionally, the Controls Engineer assists Maintenance with troubleshooting equipment and controls related issues, performs system specification, design, architecture, and development for Control Systems, and helps maintain product safety in all designs.
What you will need: Associate’s or Technical Degree. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred. Current experience programming in Siemens & Allen Bradley Design experience using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
