Lansing, Michigan – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a growing, diversified, publicly traded 40-year-old company that is a leading supplier to the commercial automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Controller , southwest of Lansing.
What you will do: The Controller supports the V.P. of Market Line Teams in all their financial reporting and analysis needs, while also analyzing financial data looking for business efficiencies and verifying accuracy. The role provides management with timely review of organization’s financial status and progress, develops reporting and prepares statistical and written reports for management, and evaluates degree of financial risks in current and future undertakings. The position assists in the development of pricing strategies, prepares/presents financial statements and related reports including but not limited to balance sheet, income statement, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis, and supports monthly, quarterly and annual balancing of books and monthly account reviews. Additionally, the Controller monitors receivables to ensure credit risk is mitigated, supports annual independent audit and preparation of annual tax documents, and reviews, evaluates and implements accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Current controller experience in manufacturing. Understanding of fundamentals of government procurement regulatory requires that effect accounting system. Working knowledge of forecasting and financial reports. Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley.
