Control Systems Engineer

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with an international supplier of raw materials and electronics to the manufacturing industry. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Control Systems Engineer.

What you will do: The Control Systems Engineer ensures that customer expectations are met by overseeing the control architecture of the hybrid battery system and ensuring control requirements are properly rolled down and implemented at both a HW and Software level. The role develops control system designs, creates schematics for the battery management and related electrical system, and supports software and circuit design and analysis. The position releases work products (specifications, designs) into use, including appropriate internal and customer-specific sign-off and release steps, while also performing technical design reviews and creating/executing test plans. Additionally, the Control Systems Engineer supports product development and production troubleshooting efforts.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Experience in electronics design and release of control modules (i.e., with embedded SW) or SW design and release for control modules for automotive or truck applications, including network and diagnostics (e.g., CAN, GMLAN, LIN, RS323, J1939, ODBII). Experience with DX Designer or Altium (or equivalent) schematics capture tools. Experience in Matlab/Simulink. Experience with major automotive microprocessor families (Freescale, Intel, TI/National). Experience with high voltage and current (DC) electrical design and/or control SW design, for example, interfacing to inverter circuits. Working experience with automotive or commercial truck OEM product release processes strongly preferred, including Engineering Release, PPAP and PSW.
