Continuous Improvement Coordinator

Newnan, Georgia – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with a privately held multinational company in the automotive space. Due to recent growth, they have a newly created position for a Continuous Improvement Coordinator, just east of Newnan.

What you will do: The Continuous Improvement Coordinator ensures all departments have identified CI projects for the fiscal year, manages a tracker to ensure project is in line and being completed on-time, and facilitates a weekly CI reporting program to ensure projects are progressing with projected timelines. The role maintains the CI suggestions from the hourly workforce, ensures Lean principles are followed, conducts layered process audits, and is responsible for working Quality, Production and Engineering departments. The position assists in facilitating Employee Involvement meetings, is responsible for improving plant safety performance and key indicators, and strives to eliminate workplace hazards, reduce ergonomic concerns and work with departments to improve the overall safety record of the plant. Additionally, the Continuous Improvement Coordinator complies with all ISO/ TS16949 & ISO-14001 procedures and work instructions related to your job description.

What you need: HS Diploma. Six Sigma certification preferred. Current experience in production supervision. Injection molding/assembly experience. Experience in Production Control, Quality, Manufacturing and/or Tool Engineering. Knowledge of injection molding, assembly, tooling processes and equipment. Knowledge of product, raw material and resins. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Concepts and Principles – Toyota Production System along with 5S, Kanban Systems, Kaizen Improvement Process, waste identification and reduction, standardized work process and good ergonomic practices.
