Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a growing construction client. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Project Manager.
What you will do: The Project Manager maintains effective working relationships with all personnel and sub-contractors, examines contract drawings and specifications, and works with the architects, engineers and property owners on each project and is the main point of contact in managing these important relationships. The role reviews, analyzes and evaluates all sub-contractor estimates and seeks to improve the profit margin on their projects, while also negotiating with sub-contractors. The position oversees/assists in the development and refinement of the overall Project Schedule, communicates daily with the Superintendent to monitor the job progress and any issues that may impact the financial or schedule performance, and assists in the creation of each monthly draw request for payment, reviewing/approving all costs charged to projects. Additionally, the Project Manager maintains good relations and communications with the project owner and all parties involved.
What you will need: Advanced knowledge of the entire construction process and its management. Knowledge of ISHA requirements. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in excess of $1MM. Experience with contractual documentation.
