Commissioning Engineer

Southfield, Michigan  – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a leading OEM provider of process equipment used in manufacturing facilities.  Due to their growth, they have newly created positions for Commissioning Engineers to be on location at customer sites during start up phase.

What you will do: The Commissioning Engineer provides support for equipment installation projects at customer sites.  Will execute commissioning activities which include conducting equipment, controls hardware and software start-up, suggesting any engineering changes to improve performance, verify hardwired installation, record baseline data and provide training and customer support.  Will assemble, debug, and adjust the electronic and electro-mechanical portion of machines during the assembly process in the manufacturing department when not at customer sites.

What you will need: BS Degree preferred.  Will consider equivalent experience.  Must have 5+ years experience in an automotive machine tool manufacturing environment with a minimum of 3 years experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens S7 PLCs.  3 years experience with controls applications for machine tools and/or test equipment and control panel building abilities desired.  90% Travel.
