CNC Programmer

Clinton Township, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is currently working with a national, tier-one automotive supplier to highlight a CNC Programmer to fill their newly created role.

What you will do: The CNC Programmer creates CNC programs with CAM software for manufactured parts for Haas and Fadal Mills and lathes. The role works with Manufacturing Director and the Manufacturing Manager to process all jobs efficiently, analyzes work-holding requirements, and develops component process plans with a minimum number of setups. The position develops the method, operational sequence, equipment, layout and tooling for the machining of precision tightly toleranced components, designs/programs fixtures as required for work holding, including creating or following creation of proper math data and prints, and assures clearances between machine spindles, tool holders, parts and fixtures. Additionally, the CNC Programmer develops CNC methods, process prints and writes operator plans, describing in detail the methods established, assists in creating cost savings, participates in continuous improvement activities, and assists with both short and long term planning activities.

What you will need: Current experience in CNC programming Proficiency in MasterCam to include 3 axis, 2D and 3D programming; 4 and 5 axis experience is a strong plus. Working knowledge of SolidWorks and NX9. Strong tooling knowledge. Diverse material experience, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, mild alloys, and hardened alloys.
