Circuit Design Engineer

Wixom, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an optical manufacturing company specializing in consumer products. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened an Electrical Engineer.

What you will do: The Electrical Engineer works closely with mechanical, optical, and dDesign engineers to design, integrate, debug, and test electronic systems in a fast paced development environment, while also applying electrical engineering knowledge to the design and development of new products as well as product changes and enhancements. The role reviews requirements/develops electrical systems to meet the needs of the program both at the component and system level, provides digital and analog SMD PCB design, layout and packaging of robust electronic systems, and designs low voltage/current DC systems. The position confirms system and component level capabilities utilizing existing test protocols or develop new ones as needed, generates written protocols and reports, provides engineering and technical support of products introduced into both the domestic and international markets and contributes to the intellectual property position of the company. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer maintains accurate documentation of concepts, designs, drawings, and processes, maintains current knowledge of competitive technologies related to company products, and provides electrical engineering support in the resolution of product complaints and/or safety issues.

What you will need: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering. Electrical design experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in C/C++, C#, VB, or similar high-level computer language. Experience with circuit design/PCB layout development tool such as Diptrace, Altium, or similar. SPICE experience. Proficiency with circuit design and PCB layout. Familiarity with optical systems is a plus. Hands on R&D prototyping build skills.
