Chassis, Body & Drivetrain Product Development Engineer

Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with an automotive supply to a major manufacturing company. Due to recent growth within the company, they have recently opened a position for a Product Design and Development Engineer.

What you will do: The Product Design and Development Engineer is the liaison between the engineering, manufacturing and sales groups with regards to design development issues. The position serves as main engineering contact for products, interfaces with customers to both determine design/performance of products and to understand design priorities and manage engineering programs and projects. The role supports localization of out product’s parts that are currently produced in Japan, while also coordinating other technical department activities and managing design records/engineering documentation, including the Engineering Bill of Material (EBPM).

What you will need: Bachelor’s of Mechanical Engineering. Current experience in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years experience in technical discussion with parts suppliers. Design experience using CAD (CATIA V5). 3+ years of group management experience. Experience with drivetrain, chassis or body.
