Catia Design Engineer

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a leading supplier in the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for a CAD Designer.

What you will do: The CAD Designer is responsible for creating and maintaining design files, both 2D and 3D, based on internal and external customer requirements including kinematics, packaging and clearance files, developing basic to intermediate level design proposals based on direction from product design engineering and/or engineering analysis, and recommending alternative design scenarios to meet or exceed customer requirements. The position also interfaces with project engineering, manufacturing division and customer to meet requirements for assigned project and also with manufacturing division to ensure that all DFM&A requirements are met. The role also prepares and maintains up-to-date engineering records according to APQP and QMS requirements, and Customer needs.

What you will need: High school Diploma. Background in fluids commodities (Fuel/Brake Lines; Fuel Fillers) and chassis commodities. Formal training in specified CAD system (UGNX 7.5), cross trained in CATIA V5 preferred. Current work experience in CAD designing. Automotive industry experience.
