Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a global Tier 1 automotive supplier whose products are in 25% of of all vehicles on the road. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Design Engineer.
What you will do: The Design Engineer implements design from conception to production utilizing solid modeling and other CAD tools. The role creates study layout using CAD based on Japanese OEM design layout, creates drawings on specification drawing, proposal drawing, parts drawing, assembly drawing, assembly step drawing, and color chart drawing, and attends design review meetings, FMEA, production system check meeting and other valuation meetings. The position finalizes the design for mass production based on engineering analysis, testing, cost analysis and manufacturing ability, generates the drawing for prototyping and mass production, and maintains design release information, including constantly updating drawings, making design notice, maintaining computer database under the direction of the project engineer. Additionally, the Design Engineer develops product for seat mechanisms and assists in making quotation package designs as directed by supervisor.
What you will need: Associates Degree. Current experience in CAD design within an automotive manufacturing. Experience with Catia V5. Seating experience.
