Greencastle, Indiana – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a company that fully designs, manufactures and distributes moving equipment for all types of manufacturing. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Sourcing Specialist.
What you will do: The Sourcing Specialist develops/executes commodity and supply base optimization strategies and plans, evaluates existing and potential suppliers and searches for new suppliers. The role initiates/executes cost savings projects and requests for quotation, develops/qualifies materials, components, processes, assemblies, and suppliers, and negotiates prices, terms, statements of work, technical requirements, and contracts. Additionally, the position develops/implements replenishment strategies and facilitates/executes the standard sourcing process in supporting new product development.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering with an emphasis in Supply Management or Operations. Current experience in materials, supply management, or operations. Electronics background including SMT, PCBA, IC, BGA technology etc and/or buying experience is desired. Ability to travel.
