Business Intelligence Developer

Lansing, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a local healthcare provider to highlight a Business Intelligence Developer for their newly created role.

What you will do: The Business Intelligence Developer helps PHP develop and implement technology and reporting solutions in a cost-effective way, designs, codes, tests and debugs reports and applications, and creates new and update existing reports and applications as needed. The role helps design and build web based front-end interfaces for database based applications, analyzes, reviews and rewrites programs to increase operating efficiency, and formulates/defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify information systems. The position prepares design specifications and develops programs to meet the intended purpose, integrates analytical efforts with other department staff to incorporate aspects of company information into analytical processes and conclusions, and maintains/enhances knowledge of data warehousing processes. Additionally, the Business Intelligence Developer assists with selection, implementation and maintenance of new and existing information technology used to manage health care information, while also maintains a thorough knowledge of PHP’s data, reports, and system interfaces.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, business, engineering, healthcare administration or related analytic field (statistics, economics, etc.). Professional experience and demonstrable aptitude in data analysis, reporting, application or technical support and problem solving, end-user training and customer service, healthcare and insurance specific workflows. Experience with web based languages such as SQL, C#, PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, .NET, etc. .NET, VB, PHP, C Sharp programming experience. Working knowledge of hospital and physician billing services. Experience with reporting tools such as SAS, SSRS. SQL programming experience. Experience with database applications such as Oracle, SQL Server, etc. Understanding and experience in project management. Insurance or healthcare related experience.
