Business Analyst - Life Sciences

Dayton, Ohio – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a national supplier of software strategies and solutions. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Business Analyst – Life Sciences.

What you will do: The Business Analyst – Life Sciences collaborates with healthcare, pathology, laboratory and software development professionals in the development of requirements/user stories in support of dermatology/pathology laboratory information system. The role reviews, analyzes, and evaluates current business processes in laboratory environment, collaborates with laboratory personnel in defining and documenting requirements, and collaborates with product development team in presenting and prioritizing user stories for introduction into the software development process. The position creates user stories for an Agile/Kanban product development methodology, communicates user stories to software development professionals to assure a detailed understanding of requirements and desired outcomes, and participates in product demonstrations on a periodic basis to review functionality with stakeholders including user acceptance testing. Additionally, the Business Analyst – Life Sciences defines/develops test plan documentation to support system validation and/or user acceptance testing, assists in creating user acceptance criteria, and mentors other business analysts with regard to business analysis responsibilities.

What you will need: BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering. Current experience as a business analyst. Understands the basic concepts of project management according to PMBOK and Project Management Lifecycle. Expertise in Agile Development Methodologies including SCRUM/KANBAN. Understanding of Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC). Knowledgeable in enterprise software technologies and implementations. Previous experience in an agile software development environment.
