Livonia, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a leading engineering services company. Due to the company’s recent growth, they have opened a position for a Quality Assurance Engineer – Black Belt.
What you will do: The Quality Assurance Engineer – Black Belt assures final product quality through development and implementation of First Article Inspection (FAI) and Operator Process Control Awareness (OPCA) plans. The role manages customer, government and other third party visits relative to customer, process, product audits and inspections with the Quality Assurance team, resolves corrective action requests involving customer issues, and inputs data into the customer’s electronic database pursuant to their prescribed formatImplement 8D tools to resolve internal issues. The position interfaces with relative personnel to resolve problems/issues with internal and external products, recommends methods for improved utilization of resources, and reviews quotes, purchase orders and sales orders submitted by customer service, for quality requirements. Additionally, the Quality Assurance Engineer – Black Belt participates in nonconforming material (NCMR) investigations internally and externally, submits customer variation request documentation when required, and prepares Quality Assurance activity information, in response to customer requests, while also using Failure and Analysis Tools to correct issues and training personnel.
What you will need: Current experience in a quality role for manufacturing, preferably aerospace/defense. Experience GD&T dynamic testing and load testing. Understanding of regulatory requirements as they apply in conformance verification. FAA regulation knowledge. Six Sigma Black Belt certification is highly desired.
