Battery Systems Quality Engineer

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with an international supplier of raw materials and electronics to the manufacturing industry. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Quality Engineer.

What you will do: The Quality Engineer ensures compliance with ISO/TS Quality Standards including delivering to APQP/PPAP requirements for automotive hardware design, development, and implementation. The role is responsible for ISO/TS/OHSAS Quality/Safety/Environmental Standards, product APQP, and PPAP, while also ensuring “Quality of the Event” for product development and launch. The position communicates all customer and internal requirements to Launch Team, maintains control plans, and understands blueprint GD&T with correlation to dimenstional reports. Additionally, the Quality Engineer develops/maintains product inspection test and statistical process control procedures, supporting development of control plans, FMEA’s and quality system definition.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in quality engineering within manufacturing. Experience with supporting the development of Control Plans, FMEA’s, flow charts, and inspection instructions supporting engineering and production teams. Experience in planning and managing internal audit plans. Certified Quality Engineer or a Black Belt is a plus.
