Battery Development Program Manager

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with an international supplier of raw materials and electronics to the manufacturing industry. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Program Manager.

What you will do: The Program Manager leads customer-specific battery pack development programs from requirements definition through launch and ensures all design, development, and test milestones are met on-time with high quality. The role captures critical performance requirements at pre-proposal stage to assist with proposal efforts, schedules/conducts team meetings, and communicates tasks and expectations to project team members. The position facilitates risk and issue identification and management, is accountable for adhering to project governance and stage gating requirements, and produces weekly status reports for the project team and stakeholders to ensure project remains on track, maintains quality, and is within budget. Additionally, the Program Manager facilitates change management activities collaborating with customer and cross-functional teams, participates in/contributes to program management office, and develops, utilizes and supports project methods, process and toolkit, acting as an ambassador of the project management office and governance within the organization.

What you will need: Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or in Mechanical Engineering with Electrical/Electronics background. Program/project management experience with motor vehicle programs (automotive, heavy truck). HEV, LEV experience is desirable. Working experience with quality and reliability disciplines (FMEA, DFA, DFM, DVP&R, Six-Sigma, APQP and 8D).
