Fort Wayne, Indiana – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Tooling Lead in eastern Fort Wayne.
What you will do: The Tooling Lead increases company profitability by providing well-designed equipment, tools and fixtures for future programs and current production tools and support the quotation process. The role provides input and direction in the sourcing, design, construction, PPAP and launch of new tools, fixtures and equipment, assists Tool-Room personnel and/or vendors in solving problems arising from production processes, tool tryouts and launching of new programs, and estimates, schedules, and executes all engineering changes of tooling, cost savings, etc. The position provides technical support for product development and design, uses technology on new and current processes and tools to meet or exceed customer specifications, and stays informed of latest technologies with respect to tooling. Additionally, the Tooling Lead establishes new and superior sourcing methods for new tooling, assists Program Managers to prepare internal quotes for new/existing programs, and works in compliance with TS16949 Standards.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Experience as a tool room supervisor. Experience as a Tooling Engineer. Negotiation skills. CAD software expertise.
