Automotive Quality Systems Engineer

Warren, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a leading supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Quality Systems Engineer.

What you will do: The Quality Systems Engineer ensures implementation and compliance of plant quality systems to required quality and environmental standards including customer specific standards and corporate tools for error prevention, continuous improvement and problem-solving at all stages of product life. The role implements quality and environmental systems and coordinates on-going maintenance and continuous improvement projects, while also planning, coordinating and performing internal/external process and system audits. The position provides consultation upon request for quality and environmental system gap-analysis, benchmarking, and/or customer complaints, trains plant personnel on quality and environmental systems, and monitors internal, customer and supplier complaints in SAP Quality Module. Additionally, the Quality Systems Engineer develops/performs monthly quality metrics reporting to plant and corporate management and plans, applies and monitors the approved yearly budget for plant representatives.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in quality engineering. Knowledge of quality and environmental systems including ISO/TS16949, ISO 14001 and Ford/FCA customer specific requirements. Auditing experience and certification. Knowledge of AIAG standards (PPAP, MSA, FMEA, LPA, APQP). Knowledge of OSHA.
